When I made the decision to get a new Karelian puppy, I was delighted to find Rocky Mountain KBDs right here in Big Sky country! Faith was wonderful to work with, communicating professionally and welcoming me to the ranch to meet the litter and pick out my pup, Olga. This pup is sweet and sassy and spirited and has unrivaled athleticism & intelligence. Olga is a daily beacon of light and makes me a better human!

For a long time, Karelian Bear Dogs had been on my radar but never found the right time to bring one into our family, and to my knowledge, there were no breeders near me in Oklahoma. We had always had Akitas and loved them very much. Our last two passed away after 13 years of being wonderful family members and we definitely had a whole that needed filling. After doing some research, I came across Faith and Rocky Mountain Karelian Bear Dogs. I found their website and sent Faith an email. Faith was awesome. She got back to me right away and was upfront about everything. The litter Kody Blue was from had not been born yet but I knew I had found the breeder that was going to get us our KBD! After the litter was born we were getting pictures and updates weekly so I knew our puppy was in good hands. After 8 weeks, my son and I, and his rescue dog Diamond, made the trip to Montana to pick up Kody Blue. Awesome trip! It was so nice to meet Faith in person. Literally, Faith is a joy to work with!
Kody Blue will be 8 months old in a few days and all of his vet visits have been very positive. He is at 55lbs and very healthy. He is high energy, high maintenance, and super high reward. He is full of energy, lots of energy, and I highly recommend proper puppy-proofing. KBDs are naturally curious so everything is a new adventure to them. Kody Blue loves people and other dogs and he loves playing! He loves dinner time and when he sees his dog dish coming he makes the cutest little spin. Kody Blue never has a bad day. He is always happy to get up because he can't wait to see what the new day has for him. Kody Blue is thriving in Oklahoma. He is an amazing dog and we are so happy to have him.

When I decided to add another KBD to our family I reached out to Rocky Mountain Karelians when I saw they had a new litter. I spoke with Faith about what I was looking for in the new puppy. The whole litter was gorgeous so looks didnt matter to us but I needed one that would be a better balance with my VERY confident, driven 3yr old. She chose Ivy and she was spot on I couldnt have hand picked her better. She loves her new brother and Finn has done amazing with her. She is extremely intelligent as all KBDs are and has adapted better than I could have hoped. We just love her so much and Faith was so great to deal with.

In November of 2021 we began looking for a new puppy. Our 11 month old Karelian had tragically died and his sister was very lonely without a friend. When we found Rocky Mountain Karelian Bear Dog’s site we could not believe it! They had this beautiful litter of puppies, but one stood out the most… Kotso. I spoke to Faith about our puppy who had died and his personality. It was amazing how much a like the two puppies were. Faith was very kind and compassionate of our situation and aided us through the bumps of getting our puppy up to us in Washington State. Upon arriving home Milla (our 1 year old) and Kotso were so happy to see each other. As if they were long lost friends. Milla is very protective and motherly to Kosto and Kotso looks up to Milla for direction. They love to
play together! It’s amazing how Karelians bond. In our case, it was instant.
We are so grateful to Faith and her family for all the time and love they put into bringing this litter to fruition.
It is a huge investment of ones time and resources and takes a special kind of love. Kosto came healthy, happy and loved! Faith also helped us to find flights and even drove with her father (a couple hour drive) to get our puppy to us. They truly care for their dogs and puppies and did a great job with their first litter! We pray God’s richest blessings as they continue to preserve this most wonderful breed, “The Karelian Bear Dog!”

“Wow!!!! These dogs are so intelligent and oh-so friendly. Our puppy is 15 weeks old and has not met another animal or person that she doesn’t think is her best friend. Training her has been fantastic and her recall could not be better. We would highly recommend Rocky Mountain Karelian Bear Dogs to anyone looking for a highly intelligent and well-socialized puppy!!!”

Hi Faith,
Next month I will be taking Ivey to her first obedience class. However, she has already picked up the "Stay, Wait, and Come" commands. She is incredibly smart and personable. We have been extremely pleased with how tolerant she is with our two daughters and other dog. In a nutshell...we couldn't be more pleased with Ivey! She has been a great addition to our family.
Sincerely,
Levi Young
Our puppies are adopted quickly, so reach out to reserve your forever friend or ask any questions.
